CV-MCU2 Multiplexing Converter

DNE's new CV-MCU2 provides both an increase in port density and circuit flexibility, while supporting up to five 16.384Mbps protocol conversions in a single 1-RU chassis.

An innovative new universal copper/fiber/NRZ module allows the user to mix and match circuits, and multiplex up to four digital trunk groups onto a single 16Mpbs aggregate. The unit is software configurable to allow on-the-fly circuit allocations without recabling and reracking. The CV-MCU2 Univeral Converter Module provides interoperability with the Canoga Perkins 2270 Fiber Optic Modems, providing a viable alternative that saves a significant amount of rack space.

New to the CV-MCU2 is the Ethernet Bridging Module option card, which converts Ethernet traffic to tactical multimode fiber. The EBM module comes equipped with a state-of-the-art diagnostics package, TS-1000 version 2-compliant Operation, Administration, and Maintenance (OAM), for monitoring traffic and remote diagnostics of link failures.

Product Features:
Modular design allows the user to mix and match circuit types within the same chassis, providing the most dense protocol converter per 1RU on the market Chassis is installed only once, allowing the cabling and rack-mounted chassis to remain permanent, while the functionality of each circuit is designated by the user
Configure the unit as either a converter or a multiplexer, or any combination of the two, via software for simple circuit reallocations New Ethernet Bridging Module provides tactical fiber to Ethernet conversion with high-end network diagnostics.
